Closed Captioning Artifacts

These artifacts were used to help instructors understand the process of captioning the media that they would use in their courses. They also try to educate viewers that there are many uses to captioning that go beyond fulfilling preset requirements.

This video artifact was created to show a step by step guide on how to add captions to YouTube. It was provided to instructors who wanted a referable guide as they began captioning their media. It is now obsolete due to YouTube updates.

This artifact is a PDF version of a Canvas LMS module for accessibility training at the University of Tennessee. It was created for instructors to become familiar with several popular captioning options for their own recorded media as well as give them a few best practices. It also was used to convey the many uses of captions for a broad range of users.
