Rationale

This interview allowed me the opportunity to speak with a practicing Instructional Technologist. I was able to  cultivate a deeper understanding of how the theories we are taught are applied in a workplace environment. I was able to understand the importance and significance of actual interaction in the field, both negative and positively in order to prepare adequately by using experiential insight from a professional.

 

Description

The lesson plan was designed for the IT570 final project. It is designed to be a 1.5-hour class during faculty orientation. The audience will be adults, the environment will be a computer lab with lecture capabilities.

This artifact is a fully articulated Instructional Design. It was based off the Systems Approach Model designed by Dick and Carey.  It demonstrates each of the design elements from the IT570 course for which it was created: Content, Learner Analysis, Task Analysis, Objectives, Instructional Sequencing and Assessment. 

 

Description

This artifact was designed for IT521as a collaborative project. The test was conducted to judge the usability of the website editing tool Wix. The document includes a tool summary, the methods of testing, data results and then an account of our findings.

Rationale

This artifact demonstrates the collaborative properties of 2 students in the course IT521. The project was conducted to determine the usability and accessibility to people unfamiliar with website editing tools. It included and assessment of the tool as well as an assessment of the methods used in the test.  Also, there are suggestions on how a user can utilize the tool more efficiently and effectively.

This job aid was created to be a step-by-step guide for my co-workers to access the URL needed for a closed captioning service to connect to our live stream.

Rationale

This artifact was created for use in my position as an Educational Technologist  It is a guide on how to connect the new closed captioning service to our live streaming feeds. It also serves as a backup plan in case of a lack of standard personnel.
